About This Module.

When we start clearing fear, other feelings or experiences can rise to the surface. This is normal — once one layer is released, the next can appear.

This module gives you a simple process you can use anytime. Whether it’s stress, triggers, uncomfortable emotions, or an unexpected image,

This module you’ll learn how to:

  • Turn toward the feeling and give it a score out of 10

  • Use Havening with distraction rounds to lower the charge

  • Repeat up to three rounds until you feel more neutral

⚠️ When Not to Use This Process

This self-Havening activity is not recommended if you are experiencing:

  • For specific traumatic memories or PTSD resurfacing

  • Severe anxiety, depression or clinically diagnosed conditions

  • Feeling like your mind is spiralling out of control and find it difficult to come back to presence

  • Severe emotional distress.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

  • Sometimes when we signal safety in the mind, stress pathways start to clear and other feelings want to be honoured and seen.

    This can be a beautiful process — like emotional decluttering. If the stress is minimal at the end of a round before something new arrives, you can use this process again for the next thing.

  • This can happen for two reasons.

    If it’s your first time to stress release, imagine a pile of dishes building up in the sink — the first round just begins clearing them away, so keep chipping at it.

    It’s also a sign that there’s a lot happening in your life at once.

    This is why we score the stress. If your score is between 7–10 and doesn’t move after distraction rounds, that’s an indicator not to push on alone. Don’t keep going by yourself — reach out for
