Get out of your funk in 20 minutes with self-havening.
This Self-Havening Activity is made for you if:
You woke up feeling ‘suboptimal’ and in a bit of a funk
You’re feeling activated or “triggered” by something or someone and can’t shake it
You’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed by your current situation
You’re ready for a reset, to get out of your funk or current state, so you can feel lighter and in control for the rest of your day.
This Self-Havening Activity is not appropriate:
For specific traumatic memories or PTSD resurfacing
Severe anxiety, depression or clinically diagnosed conditions
Feeling like your mind is spiralling out of control and find it difficult to come back to presence
Experiencing severe emotional distress.
If any of the above resonate with you, doing this Self-Havening Activity by yourself is not recommended.
I would recommend booking in for a 1:1 session (if you’ve seen me before) or complimentary call with me (for new clients)
If you’re ready to feel your stress shift in 20 minutes.
Find a comfortable place and click the video. This guided process will take you through:
How to tune into your current state,
Assess your stress
How to use Havening Touch with distractions to calm the mind and leave feeling a change.
If you’re more a DIY kind of person.
Watch the 6 minute video for instructions, read the slide below on the DIY Process & download your own distraction list.
If you find it difficult to follow this process by yourself, try the guided Self-Havening Activity above.

If you're finding it difficult to hold your focus on the distractions or it's racing back to what's happening in your life while Havening this may be an indicator that there's something bigger going on. Please get in contact with me kamaia@ourcollective.co and we can book you in for a session to help.

When applying the Havening Touch, our brains move from the normal "stress and go go go mode" to "safety, rejuvenation and the subconscious".
Sometimes when our brains enter this "safe zone" and out of stress, things that are ready to be honoured and healed can come up, as if knocking on the door saying "look at me, I'm ready".
If this happens during this process, write them down to honour that they've come into your awareness to be healed.
For safety do not attempt to Haven the past memories alone and book in a session to release.

Yes (if this feels good for you).
The therapeutic benefit and calming down of the stress response really comes from the Havening Techniques.
There are special receptors on our skin that are sensitive to warm hands, and light touch. When applying the Havening Touch this sends signals of safety to the brain and creates a "safe haven" inside of our mind and body.
Research has shown that touch can decrease stress hormones and increase the happy hormones, whilst promoting stress reduction.
If you accidentally forget to do the touch during the distraction rounds, return to havening when you remember.
If you’d like some extra support.
